Dubai Police Fines: How to Check and Pay Traffic Fines in Dubai

The Dubai Police handle traffic enforcement across the emirate alongside the RTA. If you have received a fine in Dubai — from a speed camera, a patrol, or a parking violation — you can check and pay it directly through Dubai Police channels. This guide explains how to check Dubai Police fines, pay them, understand black points, and claim the early-payment discount.

Dubai Police and traffic fines

In Dubai, traffic fines are issued under the federal traffic law and enforced by Dubai Police, while the RTA manages roads, vehicle registration and Salik tolls. Most fines — speeding, red-light, phone use and parking — appear on both the Dubai Police and RTA systems, so you can usually check and pay in either place.

How to check Dubai Police fines

You can check your Dubai traffic fines for free using your plate number, traffic file number or Emirates ID:

  • Dubai Police website: open the Traffic Fines Inquiry service on dubaipolice.gov.ae and enter your plate or licence details.
  • Dubai Police app: the official app (iOS and Android) shows your fines and black points and lets you pay.
  • UAE Pass: log in with UAE Pass to see the fines linked to your Emirates ID.
  • RTA channels: the same fines also appear on the RTA website and app.

How to pay Dubai Police fines

Once you have found a fine, you can pay it online by card:

  • Through the Dubai Police app or website.
  • Via UAE Pass or the Dubai Now app.
  • At Dubai Police smart kiosks and service centres.

Pay before renewing your vehicle registration — outstanding fines can block the renewal.

Black points and vehicle impoundment

Serious violations add black points to your licence and, in some cases, lead to vehicle impoundment. Reaching 24 black points within 12 months suspends your licence. See our black points guide for the full system, and the UAE traffic fines list for the points per violation.

Discounts on Dubai traffic fines

Dubai offers up to 35% off eligible camera and radar fines for early payment (typically within 60 days of the SMS notification), and up to 50% during seasonal campaigns. Discounts exclude serious offences. Learn more in our fine discounts guide, or estimate your saving with the discount calculator.

Tips to avoid Dubai Police fines

  • Stick to the posted speed limits — Dubai cameras have only a small buffer.
  • Never use a handheld phone while driving.
  • Keep a safe following distance and always use your indicators.
  • Park only in marked, paid bays.
