How to Check UAE Traffic Fines by Plate Number (All Emirates)

Tool

Check a UAE fine by plate number

Enter your plate and choose where it’s registered — we’ll open the official portal and copy your plate so you can paste it in one tap.

This opens the official government portal where you enter your plate. We never see or store your fines — checking and paying always happens on the official site.

Checking a traffic fine in the UAE by your plate number takes a minute. Use the tool above to jump straight to the right official portal, then enter your plate. This guide explains where to check for each emirate, what details you need, and how to pay.

What you need

  • Your plate number and plate source (the emirate that issued the plate).
  • Or your traffic file number, driving licence number, or Emirates ID.

Where to check by emirate

  • All emirates: the federal Ministry of Interior (MOI) website and app show fines from any emirate. Choose the emirate that issued your plate, then enter the number.
  • Dubai: the Dubai Police and RTA fine-inquiry services.
  • Abu Dhabi: TAMM and Abu Dhabi Police.
  • Sharjah: Sharjah Police.
  • Ajman, RAK, Fujairah and UAQ: use the federal MOI portal.

How to check, step by step

  1. Enter your plate above and pick where it is registered, then tap Open official portal — your plate is copied automatically.
  2. On the official page, choose the plate category/code and paste your plate number.
  3. Submit to see your outstanding fines, the violation details and any black points.

How to pay your fine

Once you can see the fine, pay it online by card on the same portal, the relevant app, or via UAE Pass. You can also pay at service centres and kiosks. Pay before renewing your vehicle registration, and pay early to keep any discount.

Is it safe to check fines online?

Yes — as long as you use the official government portals. UAE Fines never sees or stores your details; our tool only opens the official site. Avoid third-party sites that ask for payment card details outside the official portals.

Can I check a fine without the plate number?
