If you are searching for Abu Dhabi Salik, the toll system you need is Darb. Salik operates Dubai’s toll gates. Abu Dhabi toll passages, balances and toll violations are handled through Darb, using a separate account.
Is Salik valid for Abu Dhabi toll gates?
A Dubai Salik tag or Salik balance does not pay Abu Dhabi Darb tolls. Darb identifies vehicles by their number plates; you do not need a separate Darb windscreen tag. If you drive through both emirates, check each system separately.

What are the Abu Dhabi toll charges?
For the established bridge gates, Abu Dhabi Mobility’s tariff amendment specifies AED 4 per crossing from 7–9am and 3–7pm, Monday to Saturday. Those gates are free outside the chargeable periods, on Sundays and official public holidays. Daily and monthly caps were removed from 1 September 2025.
Al Qurm and Ghantoot follow a different schedule from the bridge gates: Abu Dhabi Mobility’s announcement states that they operate 24/7 from 4 May 2026, at AED 4 per crossing. Do not apply the bridge-gate free periods to them. See the Darb guide for gate details and the calculator.
How to check and pay Darb fines
- Open your Darb account and confirm the vehicle and plate details.
- Review the violations section, including the crossing date, violation reason and any grace-period information.
- Follow the official payment instructions. A wallet top-up and settlement of an issued violation may be separate actions; check both records.
The official Darb fines page explains registration and insufficient-balance violations. Its AED 50 insufficient-balance rule applies to vehicles registered outside Abu Dhabi after five working days without sufficient funds; it should not be applied indiscriminately to every vehicle or every crossing.
