Darb Abu Dhabi Toll: Gates, Charges, Timings and Fines

Estimator

Darb toll calculator

Estimate your Abu Dhabi Darb tolls. Darb is charged only during peak hours on the bridge gates.

Per day

Per month

Darb charges AED 4 per gate during peak hours (mornings and evenings, Mon–Sat) on the bridge gates; it is free off-peak, on Sundays and public holidays. Daily and monthly caps were removed in September 2025. The newer Al Qurm and Ghantoot highway gates are tolled continuously. Check admobility.gov.ae for exact times and gates.

Darb is Abu Dhabi's road-toll system, the equivalent of Dubai's Salik. If you drive across the tolled gates during peak hours, you pay a toll — and you can be fined for driving through without a registered Darb account. Use the calculator above to estimate your costs.

What is Darb?

Darb is the electronic toll system managed by Abu Dhabi Mobility (the Integrated Transport Centre). Cameras at the gates read your plate and charge your prepaid Darb account automatically — there are no booths.

Darb charges and timings

  • Toll: AED 4 per gate crossing during peak hours on the bridge gates.
  • Peak hours: mornings and evenings, Monday to Saturday. Crossings are free off-peak, on Sundays and on public holidays.
  • No caps: the previous daily (AED 16) and monthly (AED 200) caps for private cars were removed in September 2025.
  • New highway gates: the Al Qurm and Ghantoot gates are tolled continuously, without the off-peak and holiday exemptions.

Always confirm the current gates, times and rates on the official Abu Dhabi Mobility (Darb) website.

How to register for Darb

Register your vehicle for a Darb account through the Darb app or website and keep a positive balance. Driving through a gate without a registered account or sufficient balance can lead to a fine.

Darb fines

You may be fined for crossing a Darb gate without an active account or with insufficient balance. Fines escalate for repeat violations, so register your vehicle and top up before you travel. Check and settle Darb-related fines through Abu Dhabi Mobility, TAMM or Abu Dhabi Police.

How to top up and pay

  • Top up your Darb balance in the Darb app, on the website, or at kiosks.
  • Set up auto-recharge so your balance never runs out.
  • Pay any Darb fines through TAMM or Abu Dhabi Mobility.

Darb vs Salik

Darb (Abu Dhabi) and Salik (Dubai) are separate systems with separate accounts. If you drive in both emirates, you need both.
